Poverty incidence in Bicol region improved both in terms of families and individuals in 2015. Poverty incidence among families dropped by 4.8 percentage points from 32.3 percent in 2012 to 27.5 percent in 2015. Likewise, poverty incidence among individuals was estimated at 36.0 percent in 2015, down by 5.1 percentage points from the 41.1 percent in 2012. This was based on the latest official poverty statistics released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

For the first semester of 2015, poverty incidence in Bicol region improved both in terms of families and individuals. Poverty incidence among families dropped from 34.1 percent in the first semester of 2012 to 30.9 in the first semester of 2015. Likewise, poverty incidence among individuals was estimated at 39.0 percent in the first half of 2015, down from the 43.3 percent during the same period in 2012. This was based on the latest official poverty statistics released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
