Consumer Price Index for all Income Households in Bicol Region: May 2020

PRICE SITUATION: YEAR-ON-YEAR
The Bicol Region’s inflation rate in May 2020 decelerated further to 2.9 percent from
3.1 percent in the previous month. Inflation in May a year ago was slightly higher at
3.3 percent.
The slowdown in inflation in May 2020 was attributed to the Inflation Rates of the
following Commodity/Service groups: Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (2.4 percent from
2.5 percent), Clothing and Footwear (3.0 percent from 3.6 percent), Furnishings, Household

The Bicol Region’s inflation rate in February 2020 slowed down to 3.6 percent.
Compared to the 5.1 percent inflation rate in the same period last year, the February 2020
rate was lower by 1.5 percentage points.
The decrease this month compared to the 3.9 percent inflation rate last month was
attributed to the Inflation Rates of the following Commodity/Service groups: Food and

rate was lower by 1.5 percentage points.

Notice and Advisory to the Public

Notice is hereby given to the public that the Agreement between the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and Pilipinas Teleserv Inc. (Teleserv) on requests for civil registry documents (birth, marriage, death certificates, certificate of no marriage/advisory on marriages) through PSA Helpline Plus, has been officially terminated effective 20 December 2019.

In view of such termination, Teleserv is no longer authorized to receive requests for civil registry documents from any party. Any transaction made with Teleserv through PSA Helpline Plus will not be honored by PSA.

The UPLB Statistical Society (UPLB STATS) is a duly recognized academic organization in the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
