National ID Registration still in full swing in Region V

April 23, 2025 – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Bicol Region proudly announces the successful registration of over 5.1 million individuals, reaching 101.05% of the 92 million national target under the National Identification System. This milestone reflects the region’s strong support for the government’s drive toward inclusive and efficient public service delivery.

This achievement was made possible through sustained collaboration with partner agencies, particularly the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Through the integration of National ID registration with Family Development Sessions (FDS), the PSA was able to reach vulnerable communities and ensure broader inclusion.

Despite this national success, registration versus the Bicol Region’s total population remains at 83.12%, indicating that the mission is far from over. The PSA continues to intensify efforts to reach remaining unregistered individuals across all provinces in the region.

Significant strides were also made in the registration of children aged 0–4 years old, with 99,565 children registered and an overall accomplishment of 14.67%. This early registration ensures that even the youngest Filipinos can benefit from identity-based services and government programs.
Looking ahead, PSA Bicol is expanding its partnerships to sustain momentum. The upcoming Brigada Eskwela, in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd), will serve as a key opportunity to register school-aged children. In addition, PSA is coordinating with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to bring National ID registration services to the public during the Labor Day celebrations, targeting the labor force and informal sector workers.

As registration progresses, PSA Bicol also emphasizes the importance of leveraging the National ID in digital transformation efforts. The use of the National ID eVerify platform, the system’s identity authentication service, provides a secure and efficient means for verifying identities, enabling faster and more reliable access to services across government and private sectors.

The PSA remains committed to completing registration in the Bicol Region and maximizing the use of the National ID as a key digital innovation for inclusive development.
