The Philippine Statistics Authority - Catanduanes proudly announces the conduct of the 2nd Quarter 2025 Crops Production Survey (CrPS), scheduled from June 20 to June 30, 2025, across all municipalities in the province.
The nationwide survey, which includes 84 sample barangays in Catanduanes, is designed to gather vital data on the volume of crop production, area planted/harvested, number of bearing trees/hills/vines, and farmgate prices for crops other than palay and corn. The results will support agricultural planning and policy formulation at both national and sub-national levels.
To ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information collected, PSA-Catanduanes has mobilized a dedicated team of twelve (12) trained statistical researchers to carry out field operations.
The survey integrates both Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) and Pen-and-Paper Personal Interviewing (PAPI) techniques, offering flexibility to accommodate respondent preferences and local technological infrastructure.
The PSA reiterates its strict adherence to the confidentiality provisions of Republic Act No. 10625 (Philippine Statistical Act of 2013). All data provided by respondents are treated as privileged information and will be used exclusively for statistical purposes.
As PSA-Catanduanes undertakes this crucial initiative, it underscores its continued commitment to producing comprehensive, timely, and reliable agricultural statistics—a critical foundation for evidence-based policymaking and sustainable development in the province.
