March 2023 – Legazpi City, Albay. The Philippines Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office V (RSSO V) conducted a 3-day training on System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) 2012 Central Framework on March 28 – 30 2023. The training was a hybrid set-up where online participants attended via Google Meet.

The training-workshop was held at The Marison Hotel in Corner Imelda Roces Ave, Legazpi City, Albay which was attended by participants from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) along with Masbate and Camarines Norte Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), This was facilitated by the staff from Environment and Natural Resources Accounts Division, the  Macroeconomics Accounts Service PSA Central Office headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Virginia M. Bathan

The training on System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) provides a comprehensive approach to measuring the interactions between the economy and the environment. It enables the regions to analyze and monitor the impacts of economic activity on the environment and helps policymakers to develop effective policies for sustainable development.

A compilation of Bicol Region Asset Account for Mineral Resources will be generated by the Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office V following the SEEA 2012 Central Framework.
