The Philippine Statistics Authority – Masbate Provincial Statistical Office successfully conducted the provincial-level training on 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) Geotagging of Service Facilities and Government Projects (SFGP) or the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Form 8 operation. Geotagging is an essential component in the conduct of CBMS operations, allowing the capture and collection of relevant and timely information about households/housing units, service facilities, government projects, and natural resources collected at the local level.  Resource persons from Masbate PSO facilitated the training through lectures, and hands-on exercises on the use of GPS devices and mobile applications.

During the four-day training, participants were equipped with learning tools to further intensify learning outcomes. A simulation activity was likewise conducted which provided them the needed grounding and actual feel of the use of the project’s technology. All these were carefully planned and put together to ensure the effective implementation of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS.
