The convening of CBMS Coordinating Board was held on 09 January 2024 at 2nd Floor, Liga ng Barangay Hall, Bacacay. The attendees of the meeting were the members of the MCCB. It is composed of heads or designated representatives of various offices within the municipal Local Government Unit (LGU) headed by Honorable Mayor Edsel B. Belleza, SB members, Department of Education, civil society, and three (3) PSA PSO Albay personnel. This is undertaking form part of the preparation for the upcoming 2024 Community Based Monitoring System (CBMS) and Mid-Decade Census of Population to be conducted this coming June 2024.

The highlights of the convening are presented by Senior Statistical Specialist Lea R. Toledo. It includes the following topics: the background and legal Basis; objectives; scope and coverage; composition of CBMS Board; roles and responsibilities of CCB’s; possible assistance to be provided by the CCB’s; and data items to be asked during enumeration.

The convening was concluded with the closing remarks from Municipal Administrator Glicerio Balmedina, who represented Hon. Mayor Belleza. It was followed by photo opportunities of participating members of the MCCB.
