On January 29,2024, PhilSys participated in disseminating information and coordinating stakeholders regarding the implementation of Philippine ldentification System at Pantao Elementary School. The event drew active participation from teachers, the school principal, parents, and other staff members.

The presentation began by outlining the numerous benefits of the National lD system. Philsys Step 2 promises to streamline government services by providing a universal proof of identity. This simplifies procedures, reducing the need for redundant documentation, and enhancing efficiency across various government agencies. This empowers marginalized communities to access banking services and financial assistance programs more easily, thereby promoting economic empowerment and reducing disparities.

Security was another focal point, with the National lD enhancing identity verification processes and reducing the risk of identity theft and fraud. PhilSys facilitates access to essential services such as education and healthcare. Streamlaned enrollment processes and improved record-keeping ensure equitable access to educational opportunities and healthcare services, particularly for underserved populations in remote areas.

The event also highlighted the legal framework supporting the National lD system, as mandated by Republic Act 1 1055 or the Philippine ldentification System Act. This legislation underscores the importance of the National lD as a valid proof of identity, ensuring its acceptance in all private and government transactions.

As the event concluded, participants left with a comprehensive understanding of the transformative potential of PhilSys Step 2 and ePhillD. They were equipped to embrace these initiatives, recognizing their role in fostering inclusion, efficiency, and progress within the community and beyond.
