As part of the preparation for the upcoming 2024 Community-based Monitoring System and Census of Population, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) Albay conducted the provincial level training for the EA Delineation for the Development of 2024 Enumeration Area Reference File (EARF).    

The first phase of the provincial level training was held from January 22 to 26 2024 and was participated by one (1) hired map data reviewer and 10 map data processors. The provincial focal person for mapping of Albay, Jonel Marlo C. Fidelson, lead the training.  

The second phase of the provincial level training was held from January 31 to February 2, 2024 and was participated by 10 map data verifiers who will be involved in the verification of maps prepared by map data processors.  

Consequently, a meeting with the representative from planning and development office LGUs was held on January 26, 2024. Issues on maps provided by LGUs were discussed specifically concerns on overlapping boundaries and claims of barangays. The meeting concluded with agreement among participants to provide updated maps which will be the basis in updating the maps to be used in the CBMS and Population Census operations.
