The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) Albay, in partnership with the Local Civil Registry Office of Albay distributed Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) in Security Paper (SECPA) under the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) as the new year opened. The LCROs of Oas, Camalig and Polangui successfully distributed a total of 33 COLBs to their respective recipients.
On January 17, 2024, 20 beneficiaries received their birth certificate in SECPA in barangay Maramba, Oas, Albay. The awarding of the COLB was held at the covered court of the said barangay and witnessed by the officials of both the barangay and the municipal offices of Oas. Spearheading the activity were CSS Cecil G. Brondial, SSS Cross Doreh L. Lee, and RO II Maricor M. Pasibe, OIC Astrid Karen R. Ribay of LCRO Oas, and Municipal Councilor Sharon Escoto.
Meanwhile, Local Civil Registry Office of Camalig, Albay, in cooperation with PSO Albay led the awarding Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) in Security Paper (SECPA) to eight (8) recipients from barangay Baligang, Camalig held on January 18, 2024, at the Barangay Hall of Baligang, Camalig, Albay. Together with the PSA Albay Staff, SSS Cross Doreh L. Lee, RO II Maricor M. Pasibe and AA VI Jorex F. Espineda of RSSO V, the Local Civil Registry office personnel and barangay officials were all witness to the awarding of birth certificates.
In addition, on January 23, 2024, PSO Albay joined in the distribution of five (5) COLB in SECPA at the Municipal Building of Polangui, Albay. The recipients were just among the many who shall be given their birth certificate in the municipality of Polangui. RO II Maricor M. Pasibe represented the PSA Albay with LCRO personnel spearheaded the activity.
The distribution of Certificate of Live Birth in SECPA is part of the PBRAP, which aims to provide unregistered Filipinos with secure and essential documents for legal and identification purposes as it allows them to register and obtain their PhilSys Identification card.
