The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Camarines Norte celebrates the 35th Civil Registration Month this February 2025, in accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 682, signed by former President Corazon C. Aquino on January 28, 1991. This annual celebration aims to raise awareness of the importance of civil registration and the legal value of civil registry documents and likewise, remind citizens of their responsibility to register births, deaths, marriages and other vital events.
This year’s theme, "Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-Fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) System," focuses on creating a strong and flexible CRVS system that can meet the needs of Filipinos today and in the future. A reliable and adaptable CRVS system will ensure that all citizens can access important services such as healthcare, education, financial transactions, settling obligations in the government, and availing social benefits.
Throughout the month, PSA Camarines Norte will lead various activities designed to engage and inform the public, including Fun Walk and Beach/Coastal Clean-up Drive, Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Quiz Bee for LCRO personnel, Information Dissemination and Caravan to spread awareness and various Training Sessions for personnel involved in civil registration. Additionally, the twelve (12) Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) will hold their own activities, including Kasalang Bayan, mobile registrations, free issuance of Local Civil Registry documents, and other civil registration services.
