23 April 2024 – PLACER, MASBATE. The Philippine Statistics Authority's Provincial Statistical Office of Masbate collaborated with the Local Government Unit of Placer to facilitate the distribution of 21 certificates of live birth in security paper (SECPA) to the beneficiaries of the Birth Registration Assistance Project in Barangay Villa Inocencio. The event was officiated by Acting Municipal Civil Registrar, Ligaya D. Nieva, and her team. Rudyard Ernest B. Sabao RO II and Jorex F. Espineda AA VI of PSA-RSSO V were also in attendance, alongside PSA-PSO Masbate RO I Gina F. Cabatan, Birth Registration Coordinator Kenneth Ivander R. Alivio, PhilSys focal Johannes Carmelle Albao, and Adim Clerk Monica Lagarde. The event was held to assist residents in obtaining their SECPA certificates and to promote birth registration in the community.

The present event underscores the paramount significance of birth registration and endeavors to furnish imperative documentation to individuals who may not have been registered at birth.
