June 17-22, 2024: The Philippine Statistics Authority – Provincial Statistical Office Masbate successfully completes its Provincial Level Training on the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System Household Data Collection and Geotagging.
In anticipation of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS, PSO Masbate gears up with a proactive approach by training Head Census/CBMS Area Supervisors, and Census/CBMS Area Supervisors as key participants in the capacity-building initiative.
The census will employ a combination of household interviews and community surveys to collect information on population demographics, household characteristics, education, health, livelihoods, and other key indicators. It will be conducted in strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality protocols to ensure the security of collected data
To ensure the success and accuracy of the census, the HCASs, and CASs, undergo specialized training sessions. These sessions equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively oversee and support the data collection process within their respective jurisdictions.
The training sessions cover various aspects of data collection methodologies, confidentiality protocols, and the importance of community engagement. Participants learn how to conduct household interviews, administer community surveys, and manage data effectively to uphold privacy and accuracy standards.
