The Philippine Statistics Authority-Sorsogon Provincial Office (PSA-Sorsogon) is currently conducting the Geotagging of Service Facilities and Government Projects (SFGP) and the Listing of Building Constructions (LoBC) across Sorsogon Province from March 5 to April 12, 2025.

This geotagging initiative is a key part of the 2024 Census of Population and CommunityBased Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) operations. The SFGP Geotagging collects location data on service facilities, government projects, and natural resources using digitized maps. Meanwhile, the LoBC gathers information on ongoing and existing building constructions, including type, value, construction period, and permit details, to improve construction statistics.

To support this activity, PSA-Sorsogon hired and trained 20 Map Data Collectors (MDCs), 3 Map Data Processors (MDPs), and 2 Map Data Reviewers (MDRs). MDCs are deployed to geotag map features, while MDPs and MDRs ensure data accuracy and completeness.

In preparation, PSA-Sorsogon conducted a Provincial Level Training for the 2024 POPCENCBMS Geotagging of SFGP and LoBC from February 25–28, 2025, at the PSA FRC Building in Talisay, Sorsogon City.
PSA-Sorsogon seeks the cooperation of government agencies and the private sector for the smooth execution of these activities.
