^{Awarding of COLB in SECPA to the beneficiaries of PBRAP on October 27, 2023 at Tabaco City Hall}  

On 27 October 2023, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tabaco City, Albay conducted an Information Dissemination in connection with the celebration of the 34th National Statistics Month and also the awarding of Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) in Security Paper (SECPA) to the beneficiaries of PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP). Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) RSSO V and Albay PSO personnel were invited to discuss topics that are related with the statistics of Bicol Region specially in the City of Tabaco. The said activity was held at the 5th Floor of Tabaco City Hall and it was organized by the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Tabaco City, Albay.  

After the discussions, representatives from LCRO Tabaco City, PSA RSSO V and PSO Albay spearheaded the awarding ceremony. A total of 68 COLB in SECPA was given to the PBRAP beneficiaries. The successful awarding is the result of the combined efforts of PSA and LCRO Tabaco City to strengthen the campaign of improving civil registration and to 
register a total of 686 unregistered births in the city.

The PBRAP, as one of the programs of PSA, aims to increase civil registration, especially in Muslim Filipinos and marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples and the poorest sector in the country, and to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices. With the presence of Birth 
Certificate, it will pave the way for them to claim their social benefits and establish legal identity.
