Canaman's population as of May 1, 2020 was 36,205, based on the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020CPH). Canaman is the thirteenth least populous municipality of Camarines Sur. The 2020 population is higher by 1,995 compared with the population of 34,210 in 2015, and higher by 3,815 compared with the population of 32,390 in 2010.
From 2015 to 2020, the population of Canaman increased by 0.80 percent annually, on average. By comparison, the rate at which the municipality's population grew during the period 2010 to 2015 was higher at 1.54 percent.
Household population comprises 99.88 percent of the total population
The household population of Canaman reached 36,163 persons in 2020. This is higher by 2,172 persons than the household population reported in 2015, and 2,785 persons more than the 3,779 household population posted in 2010.
In 2020, the household population comprised 99.88 percent of the total population in Canaman, while the remaining 0.12 percent comprised the institutional population or those residing in collective or institutional living quarters such as hotels, hospitals, orphanages and home for the aged, corrective and penal institutions, and military camps.
