The economy of Catanduanes grew by 7.6 percent in 2023 from its 2022 level, faster than the 6.0 percent growth in the previous year. This represents an increase in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from PhP 28.79 billion in 2022 to PhP 30.99 billion in 2023.

Among the 16 industries, the fastest growth was recorded in Other services with 33.5 percent, followed by Transportation and storage with 24.3 percent, and Accommodation and food service activities with 
18.4 percent. On the other hand, Mining and quarrying, and Agriculture, forestry, and fishing, declined by 5.5 percent and 1.6 percent, respectively. (Figure 2)
