The Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) is delighted to announce the launch of new updating and correction services, enhancing the accuracy and completeness of citizens' records. These services, provided free of charge, underscore PhilSys's commitment to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the national ID system.

Starting this month, citizens can now avail themselves of updating and correction services for various personal information fields, including correcting misspelled names, rectifying incorrect birthdates, updating birthplaces, confirming blood types, adjusting gender information, changing addresses, and updating marital statuses. These services will be available at designated PhilSys registration centers across the country.

Moreover, PhilSys continues its commitment to reach every Filipino through its ongoing mobile registration efforts. In Catanduanes, PhilSys mobile registration teams are actively circulating across the municipalities of Caramoran, Bato, San Andres, and Virac. This initiative aims to bring the registration process closer to the people, ensuring accessibility and convenience for all residents.

As of 6 May 2024, PhilSys has successfully registered a total of 251,690 individuals in Catanduanes. This figure represents an impressive 89.45% of the overall target, which is based on the projected population of 281,381 for the year 2024. While significant progress has been made, there are still 29,691 individuals aged 1 and above who have yet to register. PhilSys urges all eligible individuals to participate in the registration process to ensure national coverage and maximize the benefits of the national ID system.
