The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Camarines Norte successfully conducted a Data Review on the Barangay Profile Questionnaire (BPQ) and Service Facilities and Government Projects (SFGP) for barangay officials and Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (MPDCs) throughout the province in June 10-11, 2024 at the Prime Suite 3rd Floor Golden Leaf Hall, Brgy Lag-on Daet, Camarines Norte. The program was divided into two batches to ensure the participation of officials from all municipalities and barangays.
The first batch of the data review cum data collection, catered barangay officials and MPDCs from the municipalities of Basud, Capalonga, Labo, Paracale, Vinzons. While the second batch, included officials from the municipalities of Talisay, Mercedes, San Lorenzo Ruiz, Jose Panganiban, Daet, San Vicente, and Santa Elena.
The BPQ seeks to collect information of the characteristics of barangays. This includes documenting the types of facilities and establishments, such as schools, healthcare centers, markets, and recreational areas.
The questionnaire also collects information on infrastructure projects, like roads and public buildings, and non infrastructure initiatives, such as community programs and services, to improve residents' quality of life. The BPQ provides a comprehensive overview of each barangay's resources and developments.
PSA Camarines Norte is actively preparing for the upcoming 2024 POPCEN CBMS through trainings, comprehensive data review, and consultations in collaboration with MPDCs and Barangay officials. This coordinated strategy guarantees precise data collection that would be used for evidence-based decision-making at both the national and local levels.
