Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office of Camarines Norte spearheads the month long celebration of the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) through the conduct of activities that promote, enhance, and instill awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics. NSM is observed annually on the month of October pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No. 647, “Declaring the month of October of Every Year as the National Statistics Month”. The activities are in line with this years’ theme – “Advancing Data and Statistics  Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation”. 

In line with this, different activities were conducted such as Hanging of Streamers at PSA Camarines Norte, various government agency and LGU offices façade and Statistical Exhibit displayed at the lobby of the Camarines Norte Provincial Capitol and at the PSO for the whole month of October. This activity serves as the kick-off in line with the observance of NSM and to furtherly disseminate the celebration to the public and clients of the said offices. 

PSA Services Dissemination and for Information High School Students/Forum on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics on October 9, 2024 at Pagsangahan Integrated School, Basud, 
Camarines Norte that aims to increase the knowledge of High School students on the services offered by the office, particularly on civil registration. Training on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) 101 was spearheaded by the Local Government Unit (LGU) Labo through the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO), with participation from LCRO staff, Barangay Secretaries, and VAWC officers to learn the basic concepts and procedures concerning civil registration.

NSM 35K Virtual Run, participated by CSS Maria Dulce C. Padayao and COSW-SA Daniel Joseph T. Meneses. This activity aims to promote health and wellness regardless of location, age, affliation, or ability using the strava application where participants may asynchronously participate while reaching the 35km of running, jogging, or walking outdoors. This also strives to raise awareness and support for the NSM to the general public.

Moreover, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Camarines Norte through the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Provincial Elimination was successfully conducted on October 4, 2024 at 2nd Floor, Provincial Library, Provincial Capitol Compound, Daet, Camarines Norte. A total of nine (9) contestants with their respective coaches coming from three (3) different schools participated the event.

Meanwhile, in collaboration with the Camarines Norte Civil Registrars League (CANOCREL), PSA Camarines Norte conducted a Free Distribution of Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) in Security Paper (SECPA) and Feeding Program to the 30 pupils of Mampurog Child Development Center, Brgy. Mampurog, San Lorenzo Ruiz, Camarines Norte on October 17, 2024.
